One of the reasons why I like going to Divisoria is Aling Simang's Quekiam. It's a small carinderia in Ylaya that's famous for their Quekiam Halo. Their Quekiam (spelled that way) is a mixture of intestines, liver, pig's heart and pork. One whole Quekiam is P 340.00. It's not the usual kikiam (long one) that we see in the market. The shape is round with a size of a medium plate which I think is about 1 1/2 inch thick.
I love the thick sweet sauce and the thinly sliced green papaya on the side.

I came across your blog about Aling Simang a few minutes ago and wanted to clarify that we never reopened the shop in Divisoria. While we do have an online store now, we are still not able to afford to reopen in person.
