GT: The last time I pig out

I remember the last time I pig out was at the wedding of hubby's college friend Michael held at Manila Hotel. The buffet table was a feast to my eyes, that's why I was not able to control the amount of food that I put on my plate.

See? I had another plate for the pasta and lechon!

Hehehehe....

Excited for my first GT entry!!!
Thanks Peachy for teaching me how to join GT!

Want some Tacos?

My family loves to eat Tacos! So anyhow, just want to share with you guys the pics kung gaano ka simpleng i-prepare ang tacos.

Wow, i'm craving right now :)

These are the ingredients....

Ground beef.... hubby cooks this.... I only eat and prepared all these hehehe, (don't know how to cook!) Saka secret niya ang ingredients nito eh, ssshhhh.... (basta marami siyang spices...)
Cabbage

Tomatoes

White onions (medyo bitter kasi for me yung red)

siyempre yung cheese!

(I prefer the BAMBI brand)

Yummy ba? Kain na tayo!!!

Luk Foo Cantonese Cuisine

We always go to Puregold Monumento every 1st day of the month for our monthly grocery supplies but we never got the chance to eat at Luk Foo since everytime pupunta kami para mag-grocery ay after lunch lagi.
Luk Foo is a Cantonese Restaurant that serves really good Chinese dishes and the price is just right. But I admired most was the great customer service that we received. The staff were very attentive and very courteous. We'll definitely go back at Luk Foo to try their other dishes :)
It was a good decision for me and hubby to celebrate Lola's birthday at Luk Foo. Mom sent some money for Lola's special day (Thanks mom!) We were looking for a good Chinese resto that's near our place so that most of our immediate family can attend. It's P 4,000 per table (12 pax) with bottomless soda, good thing was that we were 22 only so tama lang ang 2 tables for us and the Luk Foo people are the best because they let us use the function room kahit na hindi umabot sa 5K per table ang ni-reserve ko. All my requests were granted pati sa pag-serve ng food ay hindi kami nag-antay ng matagal at talagang maasikaso sila!
Here are the pics guys :)

Lola's 83rd Birthday

It's my Lola's 83rd birthday! Today we celebrate her special day with a sumptous lunch at Luk Foo in Monumento. It was attended only by our immediate family and lola's BFF. It was not a surprise treat but she's really happy eventhough we're not complete because some of her children and grandchildren were not able to make it.
I love you Lola!!!
You don't look like you're 83 already :)

The Original Buko Pie

Aside from resorts and hot spring, Laguna is also famous for its buko pie, several stores serves different flavors of pies but the best for me is the one from The ORIGINAL Buko Pie Bakeshop. Their buko pie is to die for, the meat is soft and the taste can't be compared to others.

Sorry for the blurred pics :(

I gave my sister-in-law (who's a fan of Colette's) a box of it and she instantly liked it. She told me that her sons are now craving for the said buko pie, and doesn't want the old (Colette's) one anymore :)

For me to be able to buy this buko pie,
I have to fall in line.... like these people...

Whoa! It took me 45 minutes just to buy this yummy treat from Laguna!

Crispy Pata
The best ito!!!

Chicken Barbecue
Juicy siya at very tasty!

On our way home

I will surely miss the beautiful town of Lucban. On our way home, hubby chose the Laguna route so that we can see the other side of Laguna. We passed by the stunning town of Luisiana, I think they were celebrating their Pandan Festival that's why almost all houses were adorned with dried pandan leaves.
Decoration were mostly colorful hats.... :)

Travel from Cavinti to Pagsanjan was very long but I enjoyed the view at Cavinti. I've learned that the famous Pagsanjan Falls is actually situated in Cavinti and not in Pagsanjan. The town is rich in beautiful landscape, and Oh! I would love to go back there and try their famous rapids.

This pic was taken at Pagsanjan, Laguna...
There were lots of Bangkeros in the river :)
I think the Bangkero Festival is held every first week of March.
Looking forward for another road trip!!!
