Tea Zone at Malabon Citi Square

Yesterday I happen to be at Citi Square to look for a nice pair of shoes that would match the dress that I bought last Sunday. I was so tired na kasi to look for a shoes that day. So I decided to look for one at Robinson's Department Store. Glad that I was able to buy a good pair because tomorrow will be Justine's graduation day.
After strolling around the three storey mall, I visited the new addition of food cart located infront of Robinson's Supermarket. Tea Zone is the latest craze among students at MCS. It's very affordable and the taste can equal the flavors of Zagu. I love blended beverages so I asked the crew what's the best flavor that they can recommend. Two of them recommend Black Forest since it's the most saleable according to them.
While making my order, I started taking pictures so that I can feature them in my blog, you can see in their looks how worried they are. Excuse me, hindi ko naman kayo gagayahin no! Even if I told them that somebody asked me if I can feature Tea Zone in my blog, they are still looking at each other. Hindi yata oriented ang mga ito, how to handle food bloggers like me, hehehe.

Anyway, very catchy ang kanilang food cart lalo na yung kanilang mga colorful bottles, I remember myself pumping different flavors (vanilla, raspberry, hazelnut, almond, mint, etc.) sa mga ginagawa kong coffee (hot, cold or blended) nung ako ay barista pa sa Starbucks.

Ayan ang different sizes ng cups and their prize as well.
Kaya siya click sa mga students dahil.....
Ayan! Buy and Take 1 and kanilang promo!!!
A friend of mine told me na masarap ang kanilang Strawberry flavor....
Choose your flavor now!

Ang mahiyaing staff na natatakot magpapicture, hehehe...

I let my 2 sons taste this new blended drink and what's their verdict???

Since I ordered their Black Forest flavor, the taste was good naman daw, parang chocolate cream frap ng starbucks with less creaminess according to Justine, hehehe...
The free one comes with a cup without designs, hihihi....
It's okay, it's free anyway!
I'll try the other flavors next time,
pero I hope na mas accommodating and
less nervous na ang kanilang crew!

Palm Sunday or Linggo ng Palaspas

As we all know, Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Jesus' journey towards His death. I asked my son Jeffrey what is the meaning of Palm Sunday since they studied it during their last few weeks in school, he answered me and says " It commemorates the triumphant entry of Jesus in Jerusalem" I smiled at him because I'm glad that he still remember its meaning.
As we all know, the "Palaspas" (palm branch) is the famous symbol of this celebration. Living at the vicinity of our Parish church for years now, I've noticed that the same people are selling the Palaspas every year. I Can't help but asked some of them if how long had they been selling Palaspas.

This family is very familiar to my hubby because he remembers them selling and making palaspas in front of their house since he was a child. I asked the lady in white blouse and she told me that her mother is the one who pioneered in selling Palaspas in Tugatog, when her mother died, she and her siblings continued this tradition. According to her, they are residents of North Bay in Manila but goes here in Malabon every Palm Sunday.
Good thing is that you can see that they are really skilled in making Palaspas out of coconut leaves. "Sobrang sisiw" according to them. I admire their creativity in making different designs.

I'm a fan of this little kid... he made this in just a minute or 2. Pinapanood ko siya habang nagbabantay ako inside our computer shop, and I can't help but to take pictures of him holding his beautiful creation (mas maganda pa sa gawa ng mother nya, hehehe). Galing mo kid!!!

See you again next Palm Sunday guys!!!

Reyes Barbecue in MOA

Last Sunday me and hubby went to SM Mall of Asia to look for a dress that I will wear at the graduation of Justine on the 30th. Grabe! It's hard to be this big, alanganin na yung mga sizes sa body ko, huhuhu :( pero I was thinking na hindi lang yata ako ang lumaki at madami-dami din kami dahil almost ubos lahat ng XL sizes, wahehehehe... (inamin ang size!) ang suma, wala akong nabili, It's good that hubby is patient enough para samahan akong mag ikot-ikot pa.
Dahil inabot na kami ng lunch time, we decided to eat our lunch at Reyes Barbecue. Naging favorite na ni hubby ang kanilang Chicken BBQ, pero this time ay grilled tuna belly naman ang kanyang inorder (he's a healthy diabetic) ako naman ay liempo.

I like the ambience of this branch

Hubby's choice, Tuna Belly with ensaladang talong
Tagal nilang lutuin, we waited for about 15 minutes for this order.
Pero it's worth the wait, yummy and healthy siya!

Mine was the grilled liempo, love their peanut sauce!

It's lunch time kaya madami na ang customers.

Jeff's Recognition Day

Yesterday was Jeffrey's Recognition Day. It was such a happy moment for us because he's the first honors, all his hardships were paid off. Still a boy Jeffrey already shows how diligent he is in his studies, he developed his study habit already just like his Kuya during his Laco days. Still a playful seven year old boy but he knows his limitations especially when playing computer games. One characteristic of Jeffrey that we love most is being thoughtful. I never saw or encountered a child that can equal his thoughtfulness, I'm not saying this because his my son, but he's doing this also to other people. He was chosen as Best in Deportment because of his thoughtfulness according to his teachers. We're very proud of him!

This is the newly renovated stage...

BF's Motorcade

Pixie's Sinugba

Inihaw...
I'm sad in the past weeks because our neighbor who used to sell BBQ stops from selling her BBQ. So I was not able to buy our usual favorite na liempo, chicken wings and bangus na pinapa-ihaw ko sa kanya.
Doon niya nakita itong Pixie's Sinugba.

Since medyo ilang weeks na kaming di kumakain ng inihaw, hubby bought a piece of their famous Inihaw na Bangus na walang Kaliskis for P 180.00. I think they have several branches already but we only tried their Sinugba just the other day.

The taste was okay, nothing extra ordinary sa taste nya.

Wham Burger

Last Friday afternoon, me and hubby were at The Block to look for a nice toy to be given to Jeffrey as our gift in his Recognition Day. We were able to buy a nice one that we know he'll be happy once he open it. We also scouted for a good laptop for Justine. He wants a laptop as his graduation gift and good thing we saw one at Villman store at the Annex, an MSI which hubby think is good for Justine.
Anyway, so much of my chika, hehehe... after strolling for hours in the mall, I became hungry and asked hubby to eat at Wham Burger. This is our fave burger place at The Block. Glad that this time, I have my digicam with me. Wham is just a small store that caters grilled burgers. Our fave is their Wham with Cheese. It's quite big so you'll feel very full after eating one.

Because of the limited space, their menu board is also small and the counter as well.

Wham with Cheese, fries and a pineapple juice for me.
Hubby settled for just the burger and a mineral water.

Love their fries!

Oh no! I'm craving again..... very tasty, juicy and a very filling burger...

See their limited space with limited seats also.

Inside tables I think are good for couples only.... hehehe

Causeway's Famous Dimsum

After learning that Jeffrey is the first honors, the kids requested to eat out at Causeway Banawe. We ordered our usual favorite "Dimsum" from the cart hehehe... I so love their chicken feet that I can eat at least 4 orders of it in just one seating. We went there at around 10:00 pm after we closed the shop. It's Jeff's and Justine's favorite Chinese restaurant too.
In this picture, you can see the expressions in Jeff's face. I think he's wondering if how are we going to consume all these.

Hehehe as if he was asking his brother.... "What do you think kuya, kaya ba natin to"?

This is my fave Chicken Feet... I've been to different Chinese restaurant
but IMHO Causeway's Chicken feet is the best!

This one is hubby's favorite Fish Head...

Justine ordered siopao, I didn't like this though... :(

What's on my plate....

Jeffrey in a winning sign... Yes! naubos naming lahat!!!

It's good to visit the place at 9:00 pm onwards because Dimsum's price
is 30% off until 12:00 midnight.

I'm so happy!

In the past weeks, I was not able to post entries because I became occupied in making reviewers for my son Jeffrey. I alloted most of my time guiding him in his 8 subjects, assignments and projects. It has been one of our diffucult weeks because of the 2 consecutive exams (pre-finals and finals) that he went through.
This week is the announcement of honors, most moms like me waited last Monday, yesterday and today for the result of the deliberation. It was only this afternoon that we learned the Top 5 students. I was there waiting in the parents corner near the gate and I feel the tensions running in my whole body, I know that this will be the day.... and yes! I saw Jeffrey coming out of the gate making a thumbs-up sign... he is smiling and he told me that he is the First Honors in their batch. I almost cried because of too much happiness.

Surprisingly, he got special awards too:

* Best in Civics
* Best in Reading
* Best in Language

and the most important award for me is .... "BEST IN DEPORTMENT"
It means that he behaves very well in their class that's why the deliberation committee (their teachers and high ranking school officials) gave him this award.
Because of that, he will have a free tuition fee next year. He's only request for being the number 1 is a toy that he can use when we go swimming this summer and a BLUE ( P 1,000.00)... cash hehehe.
Congratulations Jeff, we're very proud of you!

Cookies and chocolates

My mom never failed to send me this cookies with Belgian Chocolate. She knows that super fave ko talaga ito. She sees to it na kapag may friend siyang uuwi ay padadalhan niya ako talaga nito together with some stuffs.

Love these flavors!

cute ng heart shape na ito...

Hubby loves this naman...

This flavor has a hint of coffee...

cute nito :)
Even the can is also cute. After consuming all these,
Ayan, pampapayat!

Yummy!

Thanks mom!
I know you're visiting this blog...
Love you!
