Kamayan sa Palaisdaan - "Tayabas Quezon"

Before we leave for Lucban last Holy Week, Kamayan sa Palaisdaan was also included in our itinerary. Some of our friends and relatives highly recommended the said resto for they say that it's one of the best (and cheap) restaurant in Tayabas Quezon before going to Kamay ni Hesus. I've read some blogs too and they had a good review of Kamayan sa Palaisdaan.
What we've experience was a horrible one! The service sucks and the food is forgettable. We we're there at around 11:45 am to be exact, we've waited for a waiter to come to our table and give us at least a menu so that we can choose what to order. Wow, it took about 10 minutes when one waiter suddenly appear to give the order of the first table, there where about 5 tables in our area. I called his attention to give us a menu, and he gave me a xerox copy (1 page only) then left our table immediately to get the order of the other table, after getting their order, he disappeared again and returned after 10 minutes or so and he sets their table by putting native plates, fork and spoons and glasses. I was waiting for him to get our order but then, he leaves again immediately....

Since, I have two diabetic persons with me (baka mag-hypo), what I did is to go directly to their reception area and asked one of the staff if someone could get our orders. Then a lady accompanied me to our table and get our orders because she can see how pissed off I am at that time. I thought everything will be alright since I know that we had our orders already. But we've waited for another 1 hour and I go back again to call their attention... By then, our orders arrived but our appetite were lost already.

My family were not able to smile at the camera this time :(

Floating Nipa

Just an attraction, don't be fooled!

Pissed off customers like us...

Hubby, is that a customer comment form???

My hungry sons, just played with the tripod while waiting for our food :(

Because of so much hunger and disappoinment, I was not able to take a pic of each food.

Grille Tilapia and Squid
(One of their bestseller as they claimed)

The grilled squid were served cut into pieces like this...

Grilled spareribs
I thought this would be good but the meat was very hard...

Sinigang na Sugpo
(I think they used a tamarind powder for this one)

Guinataang Suso
(Hubby like this, but then again the taste was forgettable)

Pork Sisig
(nothing special)

What a disappointment, they had a very bad service during peak hours!!!

I won't recommend this restaurant for travelers going to Tayabas during Holy week season and during peak hours (magbaon na lang po kayo) hehehehe...
